Jonathan P. Taylor is a great example. All these documents have been pulled from the<a href=\"http:\/\/archives.gnb.ca\"> PANB<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I first picked up his trail here:<\/p>\n<p>Marriage notice, <i>New Brunswick Courier (Saint John)<\/i>, 25 February 1837, m. Fredericton (York Co.), 16th inst., by Rev. Henry Daniel, Jonathan P. TAYLOR, merchant of Andover (Victoria Co.) \/ Mary Anne WINTER eldest d\/o late Richard WINTER.; Daniel F. QUINN has favored the &#8216;Gleaner&#8217; with a list of gentlemen and firms who were doing business in Fredericton in 1840 and of those who have done business here since then and passed away or made changes. Some of the gentlemen in this list are still living. Mr. Quinn&#8217;s name also appears in the list of the veterans, he having been continuously in business in this city since 1850. The names which do not appear under the heading of some street are chiefly those of men who did business on Queen Street, although a few of them may have done business in some other locality.<br \/>\n&#8230; Michael TAYLOR, tavern; &#8230; John and James TAYLOR, general store; &#8230; Jonathan P. P. and family were leaving beside Benjamin TAYLOR who was 75 (says he was born in US and came to in 1783 and was a carpenter) and his daughter Margaret (40 &#8211; she maybe the <a href=\"http:\/\/archives.gnb.ca\/Search\/NewspaperVitalStats\/Details.aspx?culture=en-CA&amp;guid=BEED35CF-D0FD-48C3-B5BD-614442AC4BBB\">Margaret who marries William A. WRIGHT<\/a>, London in 1852) was living with him.<\/p>\n<p>While merchant in Fredericton &#8211; Jonathan P. TAYLOR &amp; NORTH, watches and tinware; was previously a merchant in Andover. Then moved to SJ and was part of Taylor &amp; Truman<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ContentPlaceHolder1_ContentPlaceHolder1_labelVolumeNumber\">Daniel F. Johnson : Volume 19 Number 660<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"ContentPlaceHolder1_ContentPlaceHolder1_labelDate\">Date December 7 1861<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"ContentPlaceHolder1_ContentPlaceHolder1_labelCounty\">County Saint John<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"ContentPlaceHolder1_ContentPlaceHolder1_labelPlace\">Place Saint John<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"ContentPlaceHolder1_ContentPlaceHolder1_labelNewspaper\">Newspaper New Brunswick Courier<br \/>\n<\/span>d. She was the third d\/o Jonathan P. TAYLOR, Esq., formerly of Sheffield (Sunbury Co.)<\/p>\n<p>Daniel F. Johnson : Volume 65 Number 69<br \/>\nDate June 8 1886<br \/>\nCounty Saint John<br \/>\nPlace Saint John<br \/>\nNewspaper The Daily Telegraph<br \/>\nThe death is announced at Ottawa of Jonathan P. TAYLOR, a former resident of (St. John) city. Deceased was at one time a member of the firm Taylor &amp; Trueman and was for a short time alderman of this city. He moved to Ottawa a number of years ago and held a position in the finance dept.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/archives.gnb.ca\/Search\/NewspaperVitalStats\/Details.aspx?culture=en-CA&amp;guid=3313533A-B1BC-452E-8EE0-C1CD793B4559\">Daniel F. TAYLOR, Esq., formerly of St. John city. His body will be brought to St. John for interment. Funeral from I.C.R. station Wednesday 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan P. was buried here in Saint John, probably at Fernhill cemetery but I have not confirmed this.
